"George Washington Slept Here"

Artist’s rendering of the Washington family’s house at Ferry Farm in Stafford County, Va., circa 1738. Artist Leslie Barker painted the illustration using an architectural drawing based on information generated from archaeological excavation, historical records and standing 18th-century houses in the region. The drawing was made by architect Mark Wenger of Mesick, Cohen, Wilson, Baker, Architects, of Williamsburg, Va. (Credit: Copyright George Washington Foundation)
