David Gates (on the right in the photo above)is a real regular kind of guy. The ‘70s crooner performed as lead singer for Bread which scored over a dozen top 40 hits, including “If,” “Diary,” “Everything I Own” and “Baby I’m-A Want You.” Gates still tours with a band he sometimes bills as “Bread,” and has taken up residence in San Diego. Gates has one of the smoothest voices you'll ever hear. I call him the "Johnnie Mathis" of soft rock.
