Lucille Ball didn’t get nearly enough dramatic roles, and if you ever have a chance to see her in Lured, I think you’ll agree. She’s wonderful in this atmospheric thriller and absolutely beautiful at the same time.
The story involves a serial killer on the loose in London who’s targeting beautiful, unattached young women through newspaper personal ads that promise money and fabulous jobs. Before each killing he sends Scotland Yard a death riddle in the dark style of poet Charles Baudelaire.
